I think most of us experience uncomfortable dryness to the skin, face and hands during the cold winter months. Our skin gets tight and stressed out! Read on so you can boost your winter skin regimen and stay hydrated and glowing.
1. Moisturize Often
Morning and night hydrate your skin with a good moisturizer. I recommend a oil-based moisturizer rather then water-based. The oil will create a protective layer on the skin to retain moisture. Your next choice would be a nice rich creme rather then a lotion.

2. Drink More Water
You hear this over and over again… It’s simple yet very effective. Water is good for your overall health. If your skin is dehydrated you will certainly benefit from drinking 8 – 10 glasses of water daily.
3. Warm is Better Than Hot!
A great way to defrost from the cold outside is to take a long hot soak in the bath tub. Unfortunately the intense heat from a hot shower or bath can break down the lipid barriers of your skin, which then leads to loss of moisture.Your better off with just warm water.
4. Exfoliate
Especially in the winter, exfoliating is very important. Increase your exfoliation to remove dry skin cells and then moisturize the new skin cells, resulting in maximum hydration and smoother skin.
Brooke recommends: SunFX Body Polish
5. Don’t Forget Your Hands
The skin ontop of our hands is much thinner and has less sebaceous glands, meaning they becomes dry very quickly. Along with everyday tasks like exposure to water, chemicals and severe weather conditions are generally the main cause of damage to our hands. Hand creams are very hydrating look for ingredients like Vitamin E, Shea Butter and Essential Oils for ultimate hydration.
